What happens when a family decides to leave modern city life behind and start a regenerative farm at an old castle in Northern Denmark?
At Dronninglund Slot, we are building exactly that. Our bed and breakfast is part of a living place shaped by family life, farming, animals, nature and restoration.
Here, you can experience a different pace of life — from morning walks around the castle grounds to evenings surrounded by quiet landscapes and fresh country air. Guests are welcome to experience the farm, meet the animals and enjoy access to our yoga space during their stay.

On our farm, we practice regenerative agriculture — a way of farming
focused on rebuilding healthy soil, increasing biodiversity and
producing nourishing food while working with nature rather than against
it.
Our hens, cattle and sheep are moved regularly to fresh
pasture through holistic planned grazing, allowing the land long periods
of rest and recovery. This creates healthier ecosystems, thriving
grasslands and a constantly changing landscape filled with birds,
insects and wildlife.
As a guest, you are invited to experience
the farm up close and see how food, nature, animals and human wellbeing
are deeply connected.
We’re Thomas and Frederikke — a husband-and-wife team, parents of five, and the people behind Omfaun at Dronninglund Slot.
Before starting the farm, Thomas worked for years as a CEO and consultant in the digital industry, while Frederikke works as a doctor and yoga teacher. Together, we chose a different path — one centered around family life, meaningful work, nature and regeneration.
Today, we spend our days rebuilding soil, raising animals on pasture, restoring old spaces within the castle, and creating a place where people can slow down, reconnect and experience a different rhythm of life.
